12.2.2010

This day was really, really important in the Field house.  December 2, 2010 was Micah's first birthday!  We spent the day celebrating her first year of life and doing all the things that she loves to do.  We got to share some moments with people we love, too.  12.2.2010 was a fantastic day!!!

Our morning began with this sweet, sleepy face

We watched some cartoons while she enjoyed some milk and then moved on to a yummy birthday breakfast of banana bread...Micah's first taste of the yummy stuff, and she approved.

We gave Micah her birthday present, and daddy took her for a few laps around the house :)

We played, napped, and played some more.  The Thompsons came by to bring Micah a gift.

Grandmommy and Pops came by to see the birthday girl, give her a gift, and witnessed her very first steps! {Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of this!}

We ate a birthday lunch of macaroni and cheese {M's favorite}.

We went on a long walk in the wagon, and Micah brought her new baby doll and chatted the whole time.

Mimi and Pappy came for a visit with Micah and brought a fun birthday gift.

We had a yummy birthday dinner of baked potatoes {another one of M's favorites}, and then the best part of the whole day began.  Micah ate her very first cupcake.  {Disclaimer: cake was off limits for Micah until her 1st birthday because we wanted it to be her first taste.}

The day ended with a bath, a little more playing, some cuddling and rocking, and praying over our sweet one year old.  We are so thankful for the blessing that she is and the richness and joy she has brought to our lives.  God is good.  We had a great day celebrating Micah's first birthday!
