Amazing

We went to the doctor on Monday and got to see the baby again, and oh my goodness! It was wonderful! That little, sweet baby was moving all around, and we could see hands, feet, ribs, all of it! It was just incredible. At one point, the lady that performed the ultrasound said, "Life seems to be treating you pretty good." But, all I could think was God is so good and amazing. How did he create such a marvelous miracle?! Chris and I are in awe and couldn't stop smiling all night on Monday just thinking about seeing our precious baby moving and grooving on the screen. What a blessing!

I am just over 11 weeks, but I still haven't taken a picture yet. I have a good excuse though, and it's the same reason that I am just now blogging about the appointment. Tomorrow after school we are officially leaving Bryan! So, we have been busy, busy packing our little temporary home and squeezing in visits with all sorts of friends and family. So, extra time has been a little sparse this week, and I have pretty much used all of it for getting a few things done...and maybe sleeping too!

On another note, if you get a chance, please say a prayer for the Allen/Kirby family. I am praying for peace, comfort, and the knowledge that it is okay to grieve...even if that means getting angry and asking tough questions. God will be there through all of it, and He understands.

Peace and blessings!

At last...

I have been reminded in the past couple of days about the many "lasts" that Chris and I are experiencing these days. With Chris's new job in Rowlett and the school year winding down, we are wrapping up a lot of things here in Bryan. Here is a sneak peek into what's going on:

*This weekend was our last time to commute to Rowlett.
*Tomorrow is my last day with all 22 of my kiddos.
*Tomorrow is also my last dr. appt. in B/CS (Yes, we get to see baby Field again!!!).
*This week will be my last week of teaching in a classroom for quite a while...mommyhood here I come!
*This week we will have our last conversation with the Thompson family before they officially begin their mission work in Peru.
*Hopefully, Friday afternoon will be the last time we move any of our stuff for a while.
*Thursday night is the last night I will spend in our "temporary" home here in Bryan.
*In approximately 8 days, Chris and I will take our last vacation before the baby.
*We will have many "last" visits with friends and family but only as residents of Bryan. You can't get rid of us that easily!

We have a busy couple of weeks ahead of us, but we are truly blessed. Blessed by the people that we have met and formed friendships with during our time in Bryan, and blessed by the people we have met and already formed friendships with in Rowlett. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for us next, and we know that we would not be where we are now without all the people that have supported, encouraged, and challenged us along the way. Thanks a million :)

Peace and Blessings as you begin your week!

10 Weeks and First Mother's Day

I am 10 weeks pregnant today. I honestly can't believe it has already been that long! I was only about 4.5 weeks when we found out and to think that I am already 10 weeks is pretty crazy. Honestly, I have been very lucky as far as sickness goes, but I will not be sad to see the first trimester in my rearview mirror. I am looking forward to more energy and feeling a little more like myself again. When I consider the fact that a million little miracles are taking place in my body as this child is formed and grows, it is hard to complain about feeling a little crummy sometimes.
I have started taking pictures to track my baby bump over the next several months. I feel like I already have a little bump there, so I can only imagine what it will look like come November-YIKES!!! Here I am at 10 weeks.

On Sunday, I celebrated my first "Mother to Be" Day! My sister sent me a sweet card, and one of the ladies at church got me a journal to begin writing about my pregnancy! I honestly did not expect anything but knowing Chris Field, I should have known better. He surprised me with beautiful flowers, gum (which I chew almost nonstop these days because I cannot handle any kind of after taste), and the most precious card. He's such an amazing husband, and I can't wait to watch him as a father to our child!

I really had a great weekend. We finished painting all of the main rooms in our house, relaxed a little, met some neighbors in Rowlett, and enjoyed some great fellowship and worship on Sunday! I only have 4 more days left with all the kids in my classroom, and tomorrow is a field trip. It is going to be a busy couple of weeks, but I am ready! I better get going... my bed time is fast approaching!!!
Peace and Blessings...

Here goes nothing...

I have finally decided to join the blog world. I have debated doing this for many months but just felt I didn't have anything blog-worthy to write about. However, that all changed a little over a month ago. Soon, Chris and I will go from a family of 2...

to a family of 3!!!

Meet the newest member of the Field family!

Baby Field will make his/her appearance in early December. Our current EDD is December 8. We are really excited about this new adventure in our lives and feel so blessed! God has been very good to us, and he continues to remind us of his faithfulness. So, we have lots of new adventures coming up...new job for Chris, new city, and new baby...and we couldn't be more excited! I hope to keep up with this blog on a fairly regular basis to keep all of our friends and family up to date on the Fieldhouse adventures.
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, and have a great Monday!
